What is 'URL Forwarding'?
URL forwarding is the action of redirecting or forwarding a domain name to an existing website at a different URL at the nameserver level, rather than with coding in an html page.
website-a.com is forwarded to website-b.com If a user types in the url, "http://www.website-a.com" they will be taken to "http://www.website-b.com".
There are two types of forwarding - masked and unmasked. Whether or not the visitor can see that they have been redirected depends on the choice made by the domain owner(s). Masked = you cannot see the true address. Unmasked = you can see the true address.
Masked forwarding will usually cost more than unmasked forwarding and both are available through our domain registration services.
